Terranea resort is truly a dog friendly facility offering many amenities. The resort welcomes well-behaved pets and encourage guests to bring up to two pets along for their stay. Pet Parents will be asked to sign a pet policy upon check in. Their pet fee is $150 per stay to cover cleaning charges to the guest room upon departure. Pets are welcome on the outside patios of the restaurants, along the trails by the ocean and on the grounds of the facility. Also, pets are greeted with a treat bag upon check-in.

2. What inspired you to name your restaurants Lazy Dog Cafe?

Whether it was skiing in the winter or fishing in the summer, Chris will tell you that even today it is the place he goes when he wants to get away and relax. When you are in any one of the Lazy Dog Café restaurants, you will see how Chris has tried to capture and recreate the feeling he gets when in Jackson Hole. He wants you to feel like you are walking into a place that is the perfect balance of warm and comfortable, yet full of excitement and positive energy. For Chris, the lodge represents vacations with family and friends. Jackson Hole is a small town with a true sense of hospitality. Get your car stuck in the snow, and the next person who passes by will stop to help. Most likely, they’ll even know your name.

Where did the Lazy Dog Café name come from?

One snowy afternoon, walking back into the lodge after a long morning on the slopes, Chris noticed a dog lying by the toasty fireplace. Commenting to his buddies on how much he loved his time hanging out there, he told them he wished everyone could enjoy life as much as that “lazy dog’ by the fire.

On their last run down the ski slopes in Jackson Hole, everyone has one thing on their mind: get these skis off and head to the lodge. Whether you’re sitting by the fire or bellying up to the bar, the servers and bartenders know what you like and treat you like you’re one of the family. The lodge has cold beer, hot chocolate, incredible food and great music, making it the place to be in town. It ends at Cozy Dell Creek, where it ties into the Foothill Trail and Cozy Dell Road. From this junction, a loop trail can be taken by following the Foothill Trail and then continuing along the road from camps or water along the way, this is a nice scenic hike due to the large, shady oak trees.
