K9TailslaLA explores dog friendly Ojai!
Capri Hotel
1180 E Ojai Ave
Ojai, CA 93023
(805) 646-4305
The Capri is a great modern, retro hotel which has a very groovy 60s vibe to it. It is set in a peaceful and a relaxing environment with just a short walk to downtown Ojai. Rooms are super clean with calm colors and the overall hotel has a sleek look with zen-like furnishings. The biggest plus for this hotel is that is super pet-friendly. The pet-friendly rooms have a nice sized enclosed patio area, which open up to another huge enclosed grass area, almost like a manicured dog park with beautiful trees. We strongly recommend this hotel for pet travelers. Oh, and did we mention they offer continental breakfast.

Dog friendly Hikes & Parks in Ojai
Rose Valley Falls Trail
The remote location and shielding from the surrounding mountains makes this place a good all day trip. Rose Valley Falls is an amazing destination. There are actually two falls, an upper and lower set, with the upper set being far more beautiful, higher, and dazzling than the lower falls. This simple, short, and very easy hike leads to the base of the lower falls and returns via the same route, because the upper falls are very difficult and even dangerous to reach.Like many other areas around Ojai this place is open to Hikers, dogs, horses, and bikes
Piedra Blanca Trail
Piedra Blanca Trail is an easy, 2.5-mile hike in Los Padres National Forest that will take about 2 hours to complete with your dog. Enjoy the natural beauty of this trail with magnificent rock formations, lovely creek and great mountain views
Lake Casitas Recreational Area
11311 Santa Ana Road
Oak View, California
805-649-2233
Hiking, camping and boating are available in the Recreation Area. Dogs must be on a six-foot leash at all times. They must be under control and are not allowed within 50 feet of the lake or streams or inside the Water Adventure area. Dogs are allowed in boats on the lake including the rental boats. There is an $8.00 automobile fee to enter the Rec. Area and a $1.50 pet fee per pet per day to use the Rec. Area.
Ojai Valley Trail
Hwy 33 at Casitas Vista Road
Ojai,
California

This 9.5-mile trail has a paved pedestrian path and a wood-chip bridle path. Dogs are allowed on leash. The trail parallels Highway 33 from Foster Park, just outside Ventura to Fox Street, in Ojai.
Cozy Dell Trail
This trail is a 2-mile easy to moderate trail offering great panoramic views of the Ojai Valley. This trail takes off from Highway 33 (8 miles north of Ojai) near Friends Ranch Packing House. It ends at Cozy Dell Creek, where it ties into the Foothill Trail and Cozy Dell Road. From this junction, a loop trail can be taken by following the Foothill Trail and then continuing along the road from camps or water along the way, this is a nice scenic hike due to the large, shady oak trees. Dogs need to be leashed.
Libbey Park
S. Signal St & E. Ojai Ave.
Ojai CA 93023
(805) 646-8907
Located on the south side of Ojai Ave., adjacent to art galleries and shops, a bike path, tennis courts, a pergola and the post office tower, Libbey Park is the magnificent centerpiece of downtown Ojai.
